In this part of the workshop, after a brief review presentation and discussion on taxonomy and importance of observation in achieving self-awareness, participants will engage in hands-on activities and group discussions. These activities include exploring various possible methods of approaching observation as well as their effect on improving self-awareness of hypothetical and real-world systems. Follow-up discussions will foster a better, common understanding of self-awareness in cyber-physical systems and respective realization methods.
This will be organized not as a competitive contest, but as a constructive exercise to extract more concrete definitions and commonly accepted critical characteristics of self-awareness as well as necessary tools and methods of identifying and improving self-awareness in CPS.
